Liar Liar Pants On Fire

So in the last entry I said I would be more dilligent with writing in my blog. Whooops.

Wedding update: After much debate with myself, I decided to splurge on a limo. When else can you have a limo if not on your wedding day??? HTB and I started allocating money in our "Wedding Savings Account" toward specific wedding vendors. The visual of seeing things getting paid off is reassuring. I have to make my final decision on the theme though...I thought I had a good one....till another exciting one came along...
Booked the honeymoon flight! Dominican Republic it is...so excited

Car problems: My little neon is really starting to give up. Sputtering, shaking, not starting....how much money is too much money to put into a car so it lasts 6 months? I just need it to last till the wedding, a car payment would be money not going towards our growing wedding debt.

Working hard or hardly working: I still have a very small caseload at work so I have been pretty stressfree at the office. I've felt kinda like a slacker in my little cubicle...(wedding planning, facebooking, blogging)...oh well. Of course, that also leaves me lots of time to organize and prepare for the choas of a large caseload later. This is my first week back at the office in two weeks and next week I'll be gone again for more training.

New Year's Resolutions? So far so good I guess. My nails are almost completly grown out (HTB really likes the backscratch benefit), I have read 2 books so far and into my 3rd, I have kept all my reciepts from January and compared them to my projected budget......and for the diet resolution....welll....I have to get back on the horse there....

This is a long post. but it's been awhile. Tomorrow's (yes, I'll write tomorrow) will be more concise.

back on the bandwagon

I've completely fallen off. So here I am...running to catch up.
This week and last week I have spent in Lansing, MI for a work training. I forgot how much I have missed my alone time. Not that I don't miss HTB ... but I haven't had this much time to do my own thing in a year and a half. I am also a lot more productive when I don't have to worry about a clean house, or taking the dogs out, or if laundry is done.

Since the last time I have blogged....I have read one book, lost two pounds (well four...but then I gained two back), booked an officiant for the wedding and completed our guest list, and have saved ALL my reciepts this month so I can compare to my budget. I've also haven't bitten my nails in awhile!  I think thats pretty good, I'll consider it a successful month.

I might be going a little overboard with the wedding. I found out that I have been dreading wedding planning because I have been so bogged down with the financial stress. But...eff it...it's my day and I'm getting what I have always imagined my wedding day to include. Yep, high maintenance bridezilla right here.

So, hopefully I stay on the bandwagon for awhile now and keep this updated. Gotta keep at it.

Bridal Bootcamp Diet

So, I have been perfecting a diet plan over the past week. With some input from family members, friends, and co-workers...I feel as though I have a good idea of what can work. I have 7 months to go until the big day. Time to really crack down and drop some lbs. The diet is going to go as follows:

1. Drink lots and lots of water. No other beverages allow. Especially beer and pop.
2. Leek soup diet 2 days a week. This diet is said to be discusting yet highly effecient. A co-worker lost 6 lbs in 2 days on this diet. sold. So Mondays and Tuesdays I'll be digesting nothing but this soup.
3. Keep track of calorie intake with daily food diary. Restrict total daily calories to 1200 / day.
4. Workout 3x per week for at minimun 30 minutes. This step of the bridal bootcamp diet conflicts with the wedding budget due to expensive gym fees. However, I think I'm going to invest in the Wii Ft for awhile and see if I feel like I'm making any sort of gain...well, no gain is more what I'm going for.
5. Eat healthy. No fast food. No take out. Minimal microwave meals.

This diet will commence next week Monday. I look forward to shopping in the lower sizes and gorgeous wedding pictures.

Technology

I lost my phone =( RIP envy 2. We had a very long relationship and you were the best phone I have had to date.
Welcome my new Droid Incredible. Internet, touch screen, and expensive. But pretty in her new red silicone case. We are still trying to figure each other out, but becoming fast friends.
I guess I had to get one of these crazy phones sooner or later. How else am I going to keep up on facebook posts, my spam email, and lastest youtube videos? Good thing I can do it on the go now...consider me in the loop.
This phone is going to cost me an extra $30.00 a month. I've only had the phone for two days, but I don't know if having the internet always with me is worth that dough. We'll find out.
Maybe I can blog from my phone......

Five Things I Love...

 Organizers....bins, shelfs, labels.....all are fabulous
Fireplaces...particularly when they are roaring...and not the electric kind, the real ones with flames you can smell
 Planners....couldn't live without them

Disney movies....Emily All Grown Up is sometimes allowed to watch them from time to time...right?

Coloring books....even better if you have a new pack of crayons

unmotivated

I really have been meaning to do many different things that I have not gotten around to yet. 1. get a gym membership (I get home from work and throw on pj pants...then when I realize I should go check out a gym I've been thinking of..I'm already comfy and involved in doing something around the house) 2. apply for my LLMSW (i'm pretty overwhelmed by the requirements) 3. do more wedding planning (I think my over excertion to get everything done so fast the first couple months of being engaged burned me out. I have to get excited about it again....it would also help if HTB would get the addresses from his family and friends already).

Tomorrow one of my bridesmaids is coming over to help with the sending out of the Save the Date stuff. That will feel good to have those ready and out of the way. Wedding planning is a micromanagers worst nightmare.

So, here are things that might help me get motivated...
1. looking great in my wedding dress
2. feeling stress free about my licensure....and adding more credentials to my name!
3. "failing to plan is a plan to fail"....the more I get done for my wedding now the less stressful it will be when the date is closer

Motivation, where are you?
